Christmas Box House
“The true miracle of The Christmas Box is in the thousands of spirits it has lifted and the hearts it has healed.”
-Mary Higgins Clark
Every child deserves a childhood
Types of Abuse:
Neglect is the failure of a parent or guardian to provide proper and necessary care
Types of neglect:
Imagine a world without children, how sad and dark those days could be. The joy of having children in our society may be something we take for granted. It’s our responsibilities as parents, neighbors and citizens to take care our children.
If the capacity of places like the Christmas Box House wasn’t an issue, social workers would have a chance to investigate more cases. Also facilitating the children’s placement from the high risks cases, the social workers would have more time to follow up with the cases that at first look low risk but could potentially be just as bad.
“30% of abused and neglected children will later abuse their own children, continuing the horrible cycle of abuse”.

One time volunteer
Children cannot make it through these situations alone. They need volunteers to be their voice and stand up for them. Children need to be shown what it is like to love and to be loved.
