SUMMARY & CONCLUSIONS: • There are three alternatives for the sale of electricity produced • Pool prices varied from $0.07/kWh to $0.15/kWh between Aug.06 and Nov.09 • Pool prices varied from €0.05/kWh to €0.10/kWh between Aug. 06 and Nov. 09 • Between Aug.06 and Nov. 09, the average for the pool (PMUM) prices over the four years have been $0.10/kWh and €0.07/kWh • 49% of the licenses issued to private entities by EPDK (EMRA) is in natural gas and coal. As there is great potential in wind and solar in Turkey, more can be invested in renewables in order to minimize dependency on coal and natural gas.
