  5. Grade books • Use this time to set up grade book • Demographic categories • Tagged to standards • If have data use the filter and conditional formatting to analyze information ETO COE UMCP

Lesson Plans • Using DCPS lesson plan template realign your lesson plan based on the earlier examples done in class (day 1) regarding measurable objectives which align with the curriculum standards • What part of the textbook book aligns with the lesson? • What part/s are missing from the text? • How or what other resources will you utilize to support these gaps? Next Steps • Continue with the strategic Management plan • Collecting departmental data • Collecting group (your classrooms/your subject area ) data • Develop and administer pre-assessment profile to your students • Analyze this data and determine how it might guide the lesson plans and your instructional strategies ETO COE UMCP

Next Steps • Set up an electronic grade book and utilize the features to analyze your data on an on-going basis • Realign your lesson plans to match the standards • Keep track of which standards you may not cover • All assessment tools (quizzes/tests) analyze—do you need to re-test something? • Assessments—partner up –do they “grade” the same as you? Collaborate with other departmental and subject area teachers on ALL the above ETO COE UMCP

Group Activity When your students enter each fall: • How do you know where they are regarding: prior knowledge? behavioral or special needs/ IEPs? • How do you check students incoming understanding regarding what the years content will be covered? If they were to take the standardized test or and end of the year benchmark science test how would they do? ETO COE UMCP
