VoIP Technology Vendors • The lion share of this market belongs to large, established corporations that offer their products on a global basis. • It is expected to see some acquisitions of smaller players. • From a geographical standpoint, revenues for VoIP technology solution derive primarily from North America (70%), followed by Europe (42%), Asia/ Pacific (4%) and ROW (2%). VoIP Technology • H.323 has been the mostly widely deployed standard for handling VoIP traffic. • Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) has become widely accepted as the next generation protocol for VoIP call delivery. • Look for a open settlement solution which supports traffic exchange and call settlement between different VoIP platforms. • AT&T Labs developed a solution based on open industry standard that achieves network interoperability and OSP-based solution.
