  3. Overview Task bii requires you to decide which design you will implement. This decision should be based on: Which design meets the brief the best Which design makes best use of multimedia facilities

  4. Suggested Content Comments on the use of multimedia features (including +ve and –ve points) of each scene. Navigation House style (layout / appearance) Interactivity Colour and text Graphics A description of how each product meets the brief. Good Points and Bad Points of each design A clearly argued explanation (including good and bad points) of which design you will use and why. • Sound • Video / animation • Language and readability • Help facilities

  5. Mark Scheme Band 1 (0-2 marks) Basic comments on how good the designs are at meeting the user needs and some indication with which design will use and why. Band 2 (3-4 marks) Good points and bad points are clearly identified and you state which you will use and why Band 3 (5-6 marks) Critical step-by-step analysis of each design including good points and bad points and a clear explained argument of which design you will use and why

  6. Moderation Feedback Task bii requires a critical analysis of the designs in order to access higher mark points, not just a description of the designs. Good and bad points of each design need to be identified and a reasoned argument presented to explain why the final design has been chosen and how it met the needs of the client. Again, an analysis that was not critical in nature restricted marks awarded to a maximum of mark band 2.
