  2. It is being said that,” Our body is the temple of our spirit.” One of the such believed temple of goddess Ambabai is situated in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Nagpur is the centre of India and is also known for its oranges , greenery and also for the temples. There are many holy temples and on amongst them is GruhlaxmiAmbabai Temple In Nagpur. This temple has an enriched history. It is the kuldevta of the Khot family and also it is said that the main ideal of the goddess is Swayambu which is made of Shaligram. The origin of the ideal dates back to the year 1756.

  3. The magnificient idol was found during the proceeding of farming activities in Warora. An exact replica of the swambhu idol was installed in the temple in the year 2015 at Ambabai Goddess Temple Nagpur. The immense power of this idol’s avtar of the devi has made this shrine an extremely famous one. It is being believed that the glimpse of such swayambhu avatar of the deity is a rare found opportunity, as to worship the idol Ambabai, the gates are open for devotees only a special occasions. The idol sits on a throne, which is made of pure silver and weights nearly 85 kilograms. Elegant carvings of the moon and sun can be seen on the right and the left shoulders of the idol respectively.

  4. The idol is beautifully decorated with ancient, heritage ornaments made of gold and other pure metals. Along with a Shivlingais there on the forehead of the deity. Shivlinga is chandan (yellow colour) all over forehead, with the three lines of ashtgan (orange colour) same as Lord Shivji has. The idol of goddess GruhlaxmiAmbabai is regarded as Swayambhu which means self manisfested. Goddess GruhlaxmiAmbabai is also known as Mahasarasswati , as this idol consists of eight arms signifying various weapons mentioned in the Hindu Mythologies.

  5. At present, the 13th generation of the Khot family adorns the deity with the same vigor, procedure and dedication as it used to be done by their ancestors. The deity is known to fulfill wishes of one and all. The appearance of the idol is awes trucking which fills your heart with utmost divinity and contentment.

  6. As soon as one enters the temple, one can feel the positivity all around and also one have peaceful mind. One must visit this elegant shrine at least once in his/her lifetime. The temple is also the adobe of gods like Mahabali Hanuman, ShriGruheshwara (Shiva), ShriPrachandKaali, ShriKaalBhairava, ShrimangalChandi Devi, ShriShani Deva. During Navrarti days, all the nine days temple is open for the devotees to worship the idol. Also there are many diyas lighten up, commonly known as jyot and it keeps going for 9 days continuously. Devotes come from a long way just to take blessings from the goddess .

  7. Daily a proper ritual is being performed . early in the morning the priest performs a proceeding in which mouth and feet of the idol is being washed with the hot water with the arti. After that mahaarti is being performed at 9:30am. MahaNaivedyam is shown to the goddess after which Mukhdarshanfor the devotees begin. The Temple is situated on the beautiful Seminary Hills here in Nagpur (Maharashtra).
