  3. Objective: Reduce out-of-service time for ships Sponsor: European Union (ESPRIT 4) Budget: 2.44 mill Euro Duration: 36 months (1998 - 2001) Consortium: 10 members from Norway, Germany, Greece and Portugal

  5. The aim of Marvin is to • Reduce the direct cost of ship repair and maintenance • Reduce the indirect costs of lost charter revenues • Contribute to safety and environment protection at sea and of the environment
