  3. God’s provision matches God’s pace

  4. God’s pace caused Elijah - • to run for his life • to go hungry • to live in obscure places • to suffer trials alongside those he was with

  5. Keeping pace with God is a custom fit experience

  6. Keeping pace with God requires adjustments

  7. We moderns and post-moderns are untrained in watching and waiting. Our understanding of waiting is that nothing happens will we are waiting.

  8. Waiting is not about producing. Waiting is about getting closer to God.

  9. God’s pace almost always seems slower than ours. God always has enough time. He never runs out of time. His pace is always perfect.

  10. “God is in this place and I did not know it.” Genesis 28.16

  11. Keeping pace with God’s presence means being present

  12. Presentness is connected to Presence. When we are fully present in the moment, the Holy Spirit’s presence is available to us.

  13. State of our souls influences our internal clock. When our souls are unhealed or out of touch with God’s pace we fall out of sync with His heart.

  14. God sees time in terms of qualitative events, moral decisions and spiritual content. God’s time is filled with substance.
