    2. 21 century SLAVERY According to the United Nations about 80% of all trafficked persons were sold for sexual exploitation. The majority of them are women and children. Every year about 120,000 women and children are trafficked to the Western European countries. According of the USA State Department from 600,000 to 800,000 persons are trafficked globally and about 80% of them are women and girls. About 50% of them are children.
