*Note you may still apply if you are enrolled in one or two of these courses during the semester of application.
Submit application form and sign-up to write essay on why you want to major in psychology
Deadline: October 1 (Fall) or March 1 (Spring)
16. Entry Into the Major Application is competitive. Department normally accepts 18 students each semester.
Students who are accepted have C or better in each of the required courses and minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
A student who isn’t accepted may reapply again in later semesters.

26. Psychology Club and Psi Chi The Psychology Club is an organization open to all students with an interest in psychology.
Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, is open to all Psychology Majors and Minors who meet the appropriate grade-point-average criteria.
The purpose of these organizations is to build community and connect students with one another, with the faculty and staff, and with psychology-related activities and opportunities in both the Psychology Department and the entire Western campus.
