  1. Trane – Tubular VS Clamshell Units

  2. Clamshell Heat Exchanger • 25,000 BTU per Cell • Cell Halves Edge Seams Folded and Crimped. Individual Cells Welded Together to Form Completed Heat Exchanger Assembly. • 20 Gauge Aluminized Steel Heat Exchanger, Optional 409 & 321 Stainless Steel Available. • Heat Exchanger Increases in Width as Cells are Added to Increase BTU Input. Heights and Depth Remain Constant.

  3. Heat Exchanger • 20 Gauge aluminized steel tubes, Optional 409 Stainless • Tubes expanded into vestibule, no welding • Heat exchanger expands and contracts evenly which aids in heat exchanger life expectancy • GT - 15 MBH per Tube • GH, GB, GA, GK – 25 MBH per Tube • GU – 50 MBH per Tube • 10 Year heat exchanger warranty

  4. Burners • Same Burner for Natural or LP Gases • Aluminized Steel Standard, Optional 409 Stainless Steel Available • Burner Halves Spot Welded Between Each Port and Side Seams Crimped • Trane’s Exclusive Stainless Steel “V” Port Protector is Spot Welded Between the Burner Halves

  5. Burner Ignition Sequence 1.) Pilot Ignites Main Burner Next to Pilot Assembly. 2.) Remaining Burners and Carry Over Bar Fill with Gas, First Burner Ignites Carry Over Bar. 3.) The Combination of the Ignited Carry Over Bar and flame crosses over between Burners to Ignite the remaining Burners.

  6. Heat Exchanger/Inshot Rack on Commercial Unit • Construction of inshot rack securely holds burners on their centerline so they do not impinge on tube interior surface, a potential cause of premature heat exchanger failure • Attaches directly to the bottom of the tubular heat exchanger assembly • Single orifice (Size 003-120) or multiple orifice (Size 010-040) inshotburner • Direct Spark Ignition • GT – 409 Stainless Steel Standard • GH, GB, GA, & GK Aluminized Steel Standard, Optional 409 Stainless (not available on GU)

  7. Tubular Gas Fired Unit Heaters

  8. Model “GT” Size 015-040 Basic Unit Heater Construction Model “GT” Size 003-120 The “GT” 15-40 is becoming the NEW “GH” and the size has been expanded to 010-040.
