  5. Defining the KSF • What is expected of the company by: • Suppliers • Customers • Government • Neighbors • Regulators • Other stakeholders

  6. Examples of KSFs • 24-7 FOREVER technical support • Distinctive branding • Company owned distribution or retail channels • Drive-through lanes in suburban stores • Online bill payment for utilities and telecom companies

  7. The driving force • There are nine areas that companies must address in their strategies and operations • Only ONE of these areas is the primary or driving force for the company
