  2. In what ways does your magazine use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real music magazines? We can see that the masthead is directly in the middle of the page and the largest textual presence on the page, conforming to the magazine trend. Furthermore, I put buttons & banners along the side of my magazine again conforming to the modern stereotype of music magazines. The magazine furthermore continues to conform to other magazines as it shows the main article in bold bring attention to the reader

  3. How does your magazine represent particular social groups? My magazine does this in various ways. Firstly, as the magazine is based on hip hop, the colour scheme was set out to be of dark colours, yet the ideas of creativity was kept in mind as I played about with the colour scheme during the drafting process. Furthermore, the language I used was informal and so therefore was entertaining for the reader, I made sure the text was short but not too short as I had allot of interesting information being provided. Finally, from my audience I made sure that the pictures corresponded with the theme of the magazine so whilst on shelves it’ll look representative to the magazine.

  4. What kind of institution might distribute your magazine and why? My magazine will be distributed in local stores i.e.. Tesco and WH smiths. It will cost £3 which is a fairly reasonable price as judged from my analysis that I took earlier. Furthermore my magazine has an online link as well so national and overseas sales can be bought.

  5. Who would be the target audience for your magazine? My target audience will be for teenagers between the ages of sixteen and eighteen. People who have a very keep interest in hip hop and are willing to pay the price of the magazine to read such good content. How did you attract / address your audience? I attracted and addressed my audience by making sure that my banners were very noticeable, and therefore in return the target market purchase this magazine.

  6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing your magazine? From using software such as Photoshop and publisher I can say ive learnt a whole lot about this kind of media based technology as it took me a while to come to grips of how to use this software, however in the end I successfully learnt how to use it. I went on youtube to search tutorials on how to use Photoshop, this independent studying was fount to be very useful as I leant how to use a new software in a very short space of time.

  7. Looking back to your school magazine cover, what do you feel you have learnt between creating that and creating your music magazine? How did the school magazine task help? I have learnt that firstly their must be a good use of time management as there is allot of tasks to be done in such a short space of time it seems. Furthermore I learnt that colour co-ordination in creating things such as this is vital as it actually does play a big part.
