Be able to explain any decisions made and talk about any differences between the planned game and the finished one. Explain why.

In English: You must be able to show how you’ve recorded each sound, and how you planned it. Any changes you make should be tracked; used screenshots and recordings of software processes to help with this.

Your alpha deadline is wb 17th Dec and your beta deadline is wb 21st Jan. However, you are also lead designer – your are your own secondary client. Set yourself deadlines as use tracking sheets to keep a record of them.

  6. 2D Game Development From the BTEC grading criteria: • U78, P2: “generate outline concept art for computer game graphics working within appropriate conventions”. In English: You need to show at least a basic range of ideas and planning before you move into production. This means that your final graphics are unlikely to look exactly like your concept art; this shows your progression and development.

  7. 2D Game Development From the BTEC grading criteria: • U78, D2: “generate thoroughly though-through concept art ideas for computer game graphics, showing creativity and flair” In English: Concept art should be complicated and varied. It should be annotated and show a clear progression towards a final theme. Any changes you make should be explained and you should talk about feedback from your client – in this case your lead designer. There should be more than one version of most ideas.
