    2. Mission of DYLA To provide a leadership development program that will enhance the academic, social, and life skills of future leaders.

    3. Objectives of DYLA To provide to all participants intense training in areas of: Leadership Social skills Life skills Problem-solving skills Goal setting Public speaking

    4. “Rising Stars” Curriculum An innovative and unique self-development process with focus on three critical elements: Personal leadership Healthy behaviors Skills employers identify as essential Elements are developed, applied, and reinforced throughout the process.

    5. Typical DYLA Schedule 8:00-8:30 AM: Students arrive; breakfast served 8:30-10:30 AM: “Rising Stars” Curriculum 10:30-11:30 AM: Public Speaking skills 11:30 AM: Lunch served 12:30-1:30 PM: Citizenship 1:30 PM: Students dismissed 9-week instruction; 10th week – Graduation Ceremony
