  4. Average Participation - Breakfast +7.9%

  5. Non Program Sales -30.6% 100% AHG Compliant

  6. District Revenue – Nutrition Services +4.7%

  7. Free & Reduced Qualification +15.1% +18.4%

What’s New Summer Program @ MGP – July 2009 Served over 1,200 Meals This summer we will offer hot breakfast Free Breakfast Program @ MGP – 09/10 ADP Up from 75 to 190 per day Implemented fingerprint scans to track participation Serving Firm Foundations -again BG Nutrition Services Website On-Line Surveys for Students, Parents, Staff, Serving Up Smiles – All Elementary Schools Breakfast with the Principal - Captain

Waste Reduction Single Serve Napkins Dispensors Elimination of Straws & Spork Kits, Styrofoam Recycling: milk cartons, plastic bottles, cardboard, cans Conversion to bulk cleaning and sanitizing products New this year: SOS, Baskets (MS), paper plates (HS) Next Year: Conversion to washable silverware

  10. Waste Reduction Laurin students were the first to convert from trays to baskets this year. Schools Using Baskets: ~ Laurin MS ~ Maple Grove MS ~ Chief MS Scheduled to Convert: ~ Amboy ~ Tukes MS ~ Daybreak MS ~ PVMS?

  11. Save Our Scraps (SOS) Daybreak was the first school to implement the SOS program this year. SOS Schools: ~ Daybreak ~ Tukes Valley ~ Maple Grove PS & MS ~ Laurin MS ~ Chief ~ Captain Scheduled This Year: ~ Glenwood & PHS Next Year: ~ BGHS, PVMS, PVP

Facility Update • Captain – Added Oven & Hood • PHS - Added Oven, Stove Top, & Proofer • Increased Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Shut Downs • Projects Scheduled for Summer 2010: • Install Glenwood Oven & Hood • Replace MGMS Kitchen Floor • Long Term Need: Ovens for Pleasant Valley Campus
