  1. Math Project Done by: Ibrahim Mohammed Ali Albannai Mohammed Ibrahim Alrai 12-06 Ali Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed Saleh Alshehhi

  2. Task 1 1- What is the SAT exam? The SAT is a standardized test for most college admissions in the United States. The SAT is owned, published, and developed by the College Board, a nonprofit organization in the United States. It was formerly developed, published, and scored by the Educational Testing Service which still administers the exam. The test is intended to assess a student's readiness for college. 2- What is the target score for ATHS students? The target for ATHS students is above 520 in the mathematical part The scores should differ between each student according to his cluster:              AE students should get above the 520 but ES students should get al least above 600.

  3. Task 1   3- How the SAT test is scored?   1- First, they calculate the raw scores Your raw scores are calculated for each section based on the number of questions you got correct or incorrect 1- First, they calculate the raw scores: Your raw scores are calculated for each section based on the number of questions you got correct or incorrect, or that you omitted    2- Then they "equate" them: They do a statistical analysis to make sure the test is an accurate representation of our skills. The unscored section of the test also helps them ensure the test is fair. Questions in the unscored section are not factored into our SAT score. They do this because it helps them assess questions for next year's test, and it ensures that the SAT accurately reflects our skills. Also, the unscored section helps them account for minor differences in difficulty across all the different forms of the test

  4. Task 1 3- Then they get the final score: Your raw score is then converted to a scaled score (reported on a 200-800 scale) by a statistical process called equating. Equating ensures that the different forms of the test or the level of ability of the students with whom you are tested do not affect your score. - What is the minimum number of correct answers you need in each section to reach the target? The target is above 520 so we need al least 25 right questions with no mistakes so the minimum correct answer per section is 9.

  5. Task 1 • 4- Mention 10 tips to score more in SAT..? • Review and strengthen your weakest math areas. • Recognize question types. • Be flexible in your approach  • Identify and eliminate wrong answers. • Use the “Choosing Numbers” strategy. • Don't spend more than 1 min on one question. • Solve the low leveled questions before the higher levels. 1 to 4 usually  • Solve all the grid-in questions .. because they don't deduct your score if they're wrong • Use official tests to practice with before attempting the real exam. • Always show your work to avoid any mistakes.
