  2. What is the Battle of the Books? • A reading competition • Students work in teams to read 15 books • Teams compete in answering questions about the books • Class winners compete in grade level competitions

  3. Your Job • Read one book at a time • You may only check out 1 battle book at a time • Complete a memory jogger for every book you read • Keep an up to date folder • Report to your captain • Memorize!!!!!

  4. Your Captain • Keep track of ALL the books read for your team • Make sure your team is covering ALL the titles • Encourage members to continue reading • Lead discussions for books read with your teammates • Memorize!!!!!
