Roehrig • Qualifies for Historic Monument under criterion C because: • Regionally significant, exceptional example of an Arts and Crafts period house in the Tudor Revival style • Exceptional work by regionally significant architect • Retains a high level of integrity • Landscape architecture features integral to the Ambassador College campus also significant under Criterion C and included in designation • HPC recommended approval of the designation at November 5, 2012 meeting

  3. Recommendation & Effects • Staff recommendation: Approve designation of 182 S. Orange Grove Boulevard as a Historic Monument • Effects of historic designation: • Future protection of exterior features from inappropriate alteration or demolition • Eligible to apply for Historic Property Contract (Mills Act) • Eligible to use State Historical Building Code • Potential variances from current Zoning requirements
