  3. Key terms • Key terms: androcentric, non androcentric, holistic, individualistic • Androcentric – man centred • Non androcentric – not focussed on man • Holistic - thinking about the whole idea • Individualistic - thinking about one idea

  4. The issues • Save the whale • Save the rainforest • Using less water • Mountains of food • Brainstorm each idea – what is it? What are the issues? For/against? Organizations? • Explain how it fits in with androcentric vs non-Androcentric. Holistic vs Individualistic.

  5. Conclusion quiz • Give 2 issues facing the environment today? • Define holistic • Define androcentric • What are the issues to do with ‘save the whale’?
