  5. Connection of Renewable to Transmission Grid There is not enough transmission capacity in Dobrudja region, due to a lot of WPP applications. The crossection upgrade (about 130km) of the existing 110kV lines in the grid-ring Dobrudja - Kavarna – Varna is foreseen. A number of new transmission projects has been planned and 40km of lines are upgraded.

  9. Tariffs for RES energy (before taxes) Tariffs are approved on 30.03.2011year by State Energy and Water Regulatory Commision.

Renewable Balancing and Controls Regarding the frequency control of the EPS there are foreseen following requirements to the WPP: 1.WPP with installed capacity 50MVA and more are obliged to have joint control of the produced active power with smooth change of active power according to the requirements of the system operator of ESO. 2.WPP with installed capacity 50MVA and more are obliged to work with decreased active power generation nevertheless metrological conditions, when the system operator of ESO need this.

  11. For the time horizon 2020 year, the technical potentials for control of the Bulgarian EPS with respect of the existing and planned development of generation shows, that providing quality of control and security of EPS, according to the ENTSO-E standard, is possible if the installed capacity of renewable are not exceed: WPP 1800MW; Solar 600MW. The limiting values of renewable will be revised and actualized each year with respect of the actual development of the grid and existing power for regulation. It is necessary to stimulate the construction of HPP and BiomassPP.
