  2. Sound Produced • If you haveNo Tone and Rushing Air • It may be Caused by: • No Pressure against reed • Too much reed in mouth • Stiff reed • Which could be Remedied by: • Increase lower lip pressure • Less mouthpiece in mouth • Sand reed

Sound Produced • If you Squawkor you produceflat pitch • It may be Caused by: • Insufficient pressure against reed • Too much reed in mouth • Insufficient intensity in air flow • Soft reed • Which could be Remedied by: • Increase lower lip pressure • Take less reed in mouth • Increase air flow • Use harder reed

Sound Produced • If your clarinet Squeaksor makes ahigh squeal • It could be Caused by: • Insufficient pressure against reed • Too much reed in mouth • Clarinet angled too far away from body • Soft reed • Which could be Remedied by: • Stop tone; increase pressure, play again • Less mouthpiece in mouth • Stop tone; bring clarinet closer; play • Clip reed
