  2. Intro • Shags are seabirds there lots of different shags. Some live on Tairoa Head in Dunedin.

  3. Description • Shags are 88cm tall & 2.2-2.5kg. The top of the head is dark blue & green ,their backs are brown. They also have a green face but most of their body is pale blue & gray. Some are chalky blue.

  5. Special features • Shags lay 1-4 pale blueeggs a year & the smallest shags are the most common but did you know shags can fly 70kph now that is what you call fast.

  6. Diet • Shags love small fish , red cod , squid & feed in costal waters.

  7. Habitat • Shags live on costal cliffs , rocky head lands & rocky inlets. Shags nest in sea weed , twigs & mud.

  8. Conclusion • If you see a shags don’t touch they’re in little numbers. The Stewart Island shags are the biggest shags in the world.
