The goal of this course is to introduce you to Biochemistry by surveying the various macromolecules that constitute the cell, and direct and facilitate its operation. These macromolecules include proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids. The focus will be on the chemical properties and three-dimensional structure of these molecules in relationship to their biological function.
