  4. What is Korean Canadian Heritage Archive–Database Project? • Initiated and led by two Korean Studies Librarians: • Helen Kim (University of British Columbia: UBC) • Hana Kim (University of Toronto: UT) • A nation-wide (Canada) collaborative project

  5. Objectives • To make a comprehensive database of the Korean Canadian Community’s cultural and historical resources • To prevent from losing the resources which are at risk for the first generation of the Korean Canadian community ‘s aging • To provide one of the best resources for who are interested in information about Korean Canadian culture and history

  6. Scope • Resources about Korean Canadian culture and history • About 500 entries

  7. 2 Phases • 1st Phase (2010-2013) : Database • 2nd Phase (2014-2015) : Digitization

  8. Grants • Korea Foundation: $16,800.00/year • Sharon’s Credit Union Bank $10,000.00/year
