  1. PAROC CGL 80Mounting on the building site Senior home in Rovaniemi, Finland Summer 2005 Jukka Sevón

  2. PAROC CGL 80 • For thermal, sound and/or fire insulation in cellar ceilings between cold garages (parking places, storages etc.) and warm flats. • Product dimensions: 1200 x 200 x 50...250 mm. • Thermal conductivity: 0,041 W/mK • Compressive strength: 50 kPa • Tensile strength: 80 kPa • Product surface is possible to render ( or paint ). • Production possible from Poland and Finland and in the near future also from Lithuania. • Loose products packed on pallets. • Small packages packed on pallets also from Poland.

  5. Mounting of PAROC CGL 80...

  6. ...on top of the mould...

  7. ...lamella joints across

  8. Concrete reinforcement...

  9. ...should be mounted as ready made wire nets...

  10. ...directly into the right position...

  11. ...to avoid unnecessary stepping on the insulation material

  12. The reinforcement must be lifted up from the insulation...

  13. ...with plastic distance pieces

  14. After mounting electrical and other outlets...

  15. ...is time for concreting

  16. If the reinforcement ...

  17. ...has forced the distance pieces into the insulation material...

  18. ...the reinforcement has to be taken off from the insulation

  19. Some of the water in concrete will come out from the cast...

  20. ...as well as cement slurry which can be seen after decentering...

  21. ...the mould construction in the joints of CGL 80

  22. More or less...

  23. ...as water...

  24. ...or hardened concrete

  25. But not always or in every joint for it depends...

  26. ...also on how successful the mounting of lamellas is

  27. PAROC CGL 80 is adheres very tightly to concrete and will not come off

  28. CGL 80 will delaminate before the adhesive bonding breaks down ( mt80 kPa )

  29. Due to the even bottom of the mould, the surface of CGL 80 is very even too and there is no...

  30. ...need for underneath insulation mounting, separately frame, fasteners...

  31. ...extra adhesive and the surface of CGL 80 is ready for finishing work ( paint or render )

  32. Summary • The surface of the mould must planed lower position for the thickness of insulation. • The surface of the mould must be clean if the mould is not new. • CGL 80 must be mounted with crossing joints and very tightly against each other. • Possible loose material out from the surface of insulation before concreting! • Mounting of insulation is very easy! No upwards mounting, no dust into eyes, no separate frame or fasteners, no extra adhesive and drying. • Many work phases can be ongoing at the same time → great savings in time and costs. • Adhesive bonding automatically with the concrete’s own binder gives an even stronger bond than what is possible to achieve with traditional adhesive. • You have to be careful when decentering as there is insulation material not concrete behind the mould.
