  3. Architecture Review Board Report • Review substantive changes for Standards going to ballot • Currently working on definition of “substantive” • Reviewing Mission and Charter for new or changed TCs or SIGs • Board to review ARB Mission and Charter September 00 - International Committee

Report on Summer 2000 Harmonization • Meeting held in Burlington, Vermont • Reviewed initial work from the LHSR fast track project • Produced RIM-V098 • More work identified for LHSR project • LHSR met following the Burlington meeting as well as the following weekend • LHSR work was integrated into V098a • Additional Harmonization Meeting held in Chicago • Version RIM-V099 is now the current RIM September 00 - International Committee

RIM Change Highlights • Data Types section dropped • Integrates LHSR and USAM • Entity hierarchy structure includes a life cycle type code clarifying whether the entity is “real” or a “definition” • Financial Services and Appointments sections have groups assigned to integrate into new generalized structures • Heavy reliance on Vocabulary to refine generic structures September 00 - International Committee

  8. Current Methodology Focus • MDF-Lite • harvest tacit knowledge in domain TCs to identify trigger events • focus on interaction diagrams and related Refined-Message Information Model • work on related vocabulary domains September 00 - International Committee

  9. Where to from Here? • Recommend continuing with “Strategy 1”, working directly with the relevant SIGs and TCs to meet information needs • Liaison can help organize communication and facilitate resolution of issues September 00 - International Committee

Request from Harmonization • The RIM structure supporting Person Language is deficient • The members present at the Chicago harmonization meeting felt the International Committee members would have the best insight into this issue • Looking for someone to lead work group to resolve September 00 - International Committee
