  4. Exemptions Assignments will be available in a classroom notebook. The number of days to complete an assignment is equal to the number of days absent. For extra-/co-curricular absences after a due date is established, assignments must be submitted PRIOR to the deadline. Students may be exempt from midterms/finals if they meet the following criteria: -B or better in Conduct -No ISS, Expulsion, or DAEP -No outstanding Fines/Fees Absences Assessments Classroom Policies Traditional and “pop” quizzes will be used to assess a student’s knowledge of content covered. At least one Performance Indicator/project per unit will be assigned. Each unit ends in an assessment administered by all VISD teachers by subject area. . Missing (“M”) “M” is scored as a 0. 11 point deduction/day late 3 days to turn in late work 0 will remain after 3 days Late/Missing Assignments • A student may redo an assignment for which he/she received a failing grade within 5 days. • All previous assignments, tutorials, and corrections must be complete. • The higher score will be entered up to a 70.
