  2. Held over 2 days, the 14 – 15 June 2011 Attended by 14 different organizations (77 people), including community representatives Took the form of presentations and discussion sessions Key discussion issue became the sustainable management of rural water supply schemes THE SEMINAR

To present the final results of the COSPE Water & Sanitation project to the WASH stakeholders • Rehabilitation of water supply schemes • Protection of springs • No. of water systems installed • No. of Ventilated Improved Pit latrines • No. of beneficiaries from the COSPE facilitated WASH projects OBJECTIVES OF THE SEMINAR

  4. REHABILITATION OF WATER SCHEMES • 18 springs between 2008 – 2011 • Benefitted 12,150 people • 115 hand pumps from 2008 – 2011 • Benefitted 17,150 people • 6 boreholes • Benefitted 8,360

  5. 15 springs between 2008 – 2011 • Benefitted 7,710 people PROTECTION OF SPRINGS

  6. 4 Rain water harvesting schemes • Benefitted 1,407 people • 1 solar powered system • Benefitted 1,350 people INSTALLED SCHEMES

  7. 408 in 15 communities VIPs CONSTRUCTED
