  1. LTG Mary Legere Senior U.S. Intelligence Officer

  2. LTG Mary Legere is nearing the end of a long and distinguished career in the United States Army. She has risen from the rank of Lieutenant to become only the fourth woman ever to attain the rank of Three Star General.

  3. She has been interested in political science and national security issues for most of her life. She attended the University of New Hampshire, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Reserve Officer Training Corps commission. She studied Military Science at the United States Army Command and General Staff College, and Strategy at the United States Army College of War.

  4. LTG Mary Legere has commanded at all levels during the course of her career, and served in positions of leadership and Intelligence. She was the Senior U.S. Intelligence Officer for the United States Forces Korea, and for Multi-National Force-Iraq. She participated in Operation Joint Forge, and in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

  5. She has been married to Colonel Paul Legere, a career Army officer who like his wife, is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. They live in Fort Myer, Virginia, where they enjoy spending time with their family and friends, traveling, participating in outdoor sports, and taking care of their dogs.

  6. LTG Mary Legere is nearing the end of her long military career, and exploring her options within the private sector and the National Security/Intelligence sectors.
