  2. What is veganism? • A strict vegetarian who omits all animal products from the diet. We consume the carcasses of creatures of like appetites, passions and organs with our own, and fill the slaughterhouses daily with screams of pain and fear. ~ Robert Louis Stevenson (novelist and poet, 1850 - 1894)

Summary • There are ways to be a nutritious vegan and there are also ways to be a very unhealthy vegan. • Humans, animals and the environment can all benefit from people being vegan. • Schools are providing vegan options for students. • There is a wide variety of foods that vegans can eat. • There are many struggles and benefits that vegans face during the diet.

  4. Thesis • Most experts agree that being vegan has many benefits in the world, but if you go about it in the wrong ways than it can be very harmful.

If the diet is not carried out well, however, it can lead to health problems. Exposition: “Although research studies on vegans are few in number, there are some things that have been clearly shown. “ Appeals to Reason: “By appropriate food selections a vegetarian can chose to eliminate all animal products from their diet and still have a nutritionally adequate diet.” Loaded Words: “may induce deficiency symptoms and adverse health outcomes”
