  1. 01 WINTER Template HOW TO MAKEA PERK in SharePoint for Upstate PERKS by Crystal Alifanow

  2. 02 Oooooh, see the pretty SharePoint form! First: Understanding the Batch Form

  3. 03 The top portion of the batch form is what the PERKS Administrator uses to create the online and iPhone deal. Complete every required field. • The “Client Information” box is for account set-up information as well as the details for the creative (i.e. What are we pitching? What makes this deal great? Why should people purchase it? Who will it be useful to?) • Details should focus on the deal, not the client and/or their other services. The “Item For Sale” and “Limit” boxes are for the specs of the deal; pricing, dates & revenue. NOTE: On Sale Date: is the first day it appears on the website as the ‘Featured Deal’. Off Sale Date: is the last day it appears on the website as one of the ‘All Deals’. • Example Fine Print Terms: • Limit 1 per person, may buy 2 additional as gifts • Reservation/Appointment Required • Call for Tee Times/Schedule • Dine-In Only The “Certificate” box is for any terms, conditions and/or restrictions. Batch Form top portion

  4. 04 The bottom portion of the batch form is what populates the PERKS calendar. Hey, what’s this thing do? • Because this populates the calendar, complete the Title, Start Date, End Date, Categories and Description as described: • Title: Enter the business name only • Start Date/End Date: Enter the same date in both fields; the first date the deal appears on the website. • Categories: Choose the appropriate dropdown option • Description: Enter the “Offer” from the top portion • Do not complete the Location field. Leave the times at default settings. Batch Form bottom portion

  5. 05 Second: The Calendar Tipity Tip: Calendar items marked in Purple are corporate items which offer ideas and tips for getting the most out of PERKS. Orange items are tentatively booked deals. The PERKS calendar is where you’ll find all the booked PERKS deals. To see the schedule click on “Calendars” in the left-hand menu and navigate to the PERKS tab.

  6. 06 LET’S MAKEA PERK! Tentatively booking dates For solid leads that do not yet have a signed contract, you can tentatively book a date in the PERKS schedule. Navigate to the PERKS Calendar and click on “+Add”. In the Title field type the name of the business followed by “TENTATIVE”. Click “All Day Event” and Save. Tipity Tip: hover over the date to make the “+Add” appear

  7. 07 Booking sold dates For signed deals, you can publish a PERKS Batch form. Navigate to the Greenville homepage (Greenville tab at top of site). Click the “PERKS Batch” button in the top right corner. Complete the form as described in slides 3 and 4 and Submit. Remember, this form will automatically book the PERK on the calendar (i.e. slide 4) Next, go back to the Calendar. Choose the date you just booked and click on the name of the business. In the pop-up box, click “Edit Item”. Then click, “All Day Event” and Save. PERKS Alert! The batch form deal will be in blue. If you see the client’s name in orange, it’s your tentative booking.

  8. 08 If you had tentatively booked this deal, you need to delete that tentative date. If you had a tentative date for this deal when you look at the calendar, you will see two reservations for this client. Click on the orange tentative date. In the pop-up box click “Delete Item” and confirm with “Ok.” Cont., Booking sold dates

  9. 09 After It’s Created Sometimes you need to access a PERK after you’ve created it. There are 2 ways you can find your PERK after you’ve saved it in the calendar. Method 1: FormLink in the calendar In the calendar, click on the day/client you’d like to access the PERK for. In the pop-up box, click on the FormLink. The hyperlink will then open your Batch form.

  10. 10 Method 2: Batch Form list In SharePoint, click on “Perks” in the left-hand menu. Inside the PERKS page, you’ll find a “My PERKS Greenville Batch Forms” list. Click on the hyperlink in the “Name” column to access that particular Batch form. Hey PERKSmeister: You can sort the Batch forms in the list by clicking on the headings. Cont., After It’s Created
