  4. The Mission: What we have heard • “The mission of the HTH Graduate School of Education is to prepare reflective practitioner leadersto work with colleagues and communities todevelop innovative, authentic, and rigorous learning environments.” • – HTH GSE website

What we know Implications GSE is great training for HTH teachers, but unclear value proposition for others… Training lone non-HTH M.Eds unlikely to scale HTH pedagogy successfully HTH programs that involve school teams more likely to lead to results outside of HTH • HTH already a system supportive of and aligned to progressive pedagogy • Conditions for systemic change rare: need both system and school to be engaged in and capable of change • Single individuals have poor record of implementing transformations despite best intentions • School change is easier with the support of multi-level teams Therefore, focus efforts on the Leading Schools Program (LSP), because it is team based.
