  2. Topics • Louisiana Purchase • Lewis and Clark Expedition • Oregon Country • Florida • Mexican Cession • Hawaii • Alaska • Texas

  3. Requirements • Research thoroughly to explain the history and key facts involved in adding this to the United States. • Groups of 3-4 students but each topic must be covered. • Groups will draw from Mr. P. to find their topic. • Each group will develop a 10 slide PowerPoint to share/ teach about their topic.

  4. Divide up the work • Each member will receive their own grade based on what slides/info they create and how they share it with the class. • When the group presents they must turn in a paper copy of the ppt. with the person responsible for each slide of information written on the slide. • Mr. P will run copies.

  5. Grading • Accuracy – info is correct • Quantity- Enough info. is given to cover the topic well; 10 slides required. • Slides- attractive & informative • Backgrounds, fonts, & graphics all need to be appropriate to your topic and support your sharing of info. If you use a font that is hard to read, you are not supporting your sharing.
