  2. Premise of the Project • You will be backpacking across Europe over the next 6 weeks. • Along the way, you will record your journey in blogs. • You will visit Old World historical sites, as well as cities brimming with charm. • Create a “blogbook” compiling your adventures.

  3. Requirements: Research cities and locations in each of 6 European Regions Write 2 entries for each Region Make sure you describe 5 aspects of your city/location in each of your entries: History/Current Events Language/Religion Culture/Architecture Climate/Weather Landforms/Waterways

  4. Requirements (cont.) Two (2) entries for each region must be written into your “blog.” A total of 12 entries completes your “blogbook.” You may research using sheppardsoftware.com, the textbook, and Google pictures All material must be school-appropriate You may use any medium to record your journal of blogs (prezi, powerpoint, glogster, publisher, etc.) PROJECT IS DUE MAY 18

  5. Things to remember-- Include photos, maps, and clip art Include cool stuff that is interesting, not just a bunch of boring data

  7. China My visit to Yunnan, China was exciting! These girls were dressed in traditional colors as they tended to the reflecting rice terraces. The Confucian Temples were so peaceful and full of scrolls telling the history of the Han Dynasty. The climate was humid, but the river boat races were cool—there were 30 guys all rowing a boat that was so skinny I thought they would fall off! The locals were proud of their heritage of being a diverse people, but are very poor—they barely make 300 yen a year! We got a workout hiking through the mountainous terrain, but got a break with the many rivers we could catch a boat ride.
