  7. Microsoft Development Network Academic Alliance (MSDN-AA) • Provides free MS development software to students • At Brown, loan CDs to students • MS operates Shib-enabled server • Production in Switzerland

  8. Personal and Collaborative Applications: Google Apps for Education • Support SAML 2.0 • Committed to supporting Shibboleth (version 1.3) and SAML 1.1 • Will be joining InCommon • Giving financial support to Shibboleth project

  9. Federal Government: National Institutes of Health • Peering with InCommon • Working out first applications for test • Current IdM practices sufficient • But grants management is level 2

  11. InCommon Membership Levels Levels of membership in InCommon due to federal E-Auth • Bronze will be equivalent to Federal LoA 1 • Silver will be equivalent to Federal LoA 2
