  2. Visegrad1335 In 1335, Visegrad was a main seat of Charles Robert. It was the place where his court stayed and it was the actual capital city of the kingdom.

  3. 1335 - Meeting of three delegates of three kings Trencin castle

  4. Trencin castle The principal negotiations were undertaken in August under the patronage of Charles Robert in Trencin in the territory of the present Slovakia.

  5. The delegates were dealing with the programme of the Visegrad´s meeting. They arranged the conditions of the signing of the treatment and they prepared the proposal of the treatment´s text.

  10. Involved • Charles Robert from Anjou (Hungarian king) • John Luxembourg (Czech king) • Casimir III the Great (Polish king) • And the others - Wittelbach Henrich (Bavorian margrave) and Rudolf (Sask´s prince)

Charles Robert from Anjou • He was the Hungarian king • He solved the domestical problems with nobility – battle near Rozhanovce • He introduced political and economic reforms He establishednew taxes - lucrum camarae- in order to ensure the Kingdom of permanent income. He minted coins with constantly high levels of purity. Florina, minted since 1325 in the newly established mint in Kremnica soon became an international means of payment throughout Europe.

John of Luxembourg • He was the Czech king • In 1338 he authorized the establishment of the Old Town Hall, which was the first in the country.. • To the end of his life he was blind as a result of ophtalmia (eye infection). • John of Luxembourg, fell at the battle of Crecy, (Kreščak) where he fought on the French side, this battle began Hundred Years War. • He was known to be an ambicious and dashing knight who loved to travel all over Europe.

Casimir III the Great • He was the one of the most important people of the medieval Poland. • In 1348 Charles IV renegotieted the contract about cooperation with Casimir III the Great • Casimir tried to consolidate royal power at the expense of the high nobility (magnates) • In 1364 he foundedKrakow university,which was the first university in Poland and the second oldest in Central Europe.
