INTRODUCTION • The Library is a core point of knowledge and its aim is to develop a comprehensive collection of documents that is useful for the students, research scholars and also for the reference use of faculty. The major objective of the library is to organize and make the books and other e-materials available to all the users.

  5. Subject-Wise Collection

  6. BOOKS & PERIODICALS • We have books which covers all sphere of engineering and its related areas. The books are divided as Text Books, General Books, Reference Books. • The Periodicals are arranged alphabetically (title wise). The list of all these are displayed in the periodical section.

  7. CD-ROMs • The core subject of CDs is Engineering. These are arranged accession number wise and can be accessed in the library. NEWS PAPERS • The library is subscribing 9 Newspapers that are displayed in News papers section. The back issues for past two months are also available in the library.

  8. LIBRARY WEB BASED SERVICES 1. E-BOOKS you can access more than 100,000 free e books via the URL-http://www.gutenberg.org/ 2. INTERNET SEVICES Student can use 4 computer systems in the library for Database search.

  9. LIBRARY WEB BASED SERVICES 3. DIRECTORY OF OPEN ACCESS JOURNALS (DOAJ) DOAJ is a directory of the journals and magazines in the various fields of knowledge. These journals/magazines are available in full text online free of charge. There are more than 11,000 Journals available here. Via the URL-http://www.doaj.org/

  10. DATABASES (e-Journals) DATABASES provide access to journal literature either by providing the full text of articles or to article references and abstracts. The Library is a subscriber to the 3 Online Databases. These databases are very helpful in research, teaching and consulting work. The databases cover almost all world’s topmost engineering journals in full text.

  11. 1) IEEE (ASPP) • IEEE Xplore provides Web access to more than 3-million full-text documents from some of the world's most highly cited publications in electrical engineering, computer science and electronics. • URL – http://ieeexplore.ieee.org

  12. 2. J-GATE J-Gate is an electronic gateway to global e-journal literature. It presently has a massive database of journal literature, indexed from 29,000+ e-journals with links to full text at publisher sites. • URL – http://jgateplus.com/search/login/

  15. LIBRARY TIMINGS 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (Monday to Friday)

  16. GATE REGISTER While entering the Library please write your name, enrollment no. and time of entry in the gate register. • On demand, you are required to show your ID card to the library staff.

  17. KEEP PERSONAL MATERIAL AT PROPERTY COUNTER • Carry only note books/scribbling pads inside the library. • All other belongings to be kept in the property counter.

  18. BORROWING PRIVILEGES • Students are entitled to borrow 3 books at a time • The loan period is 7 days • Renewal is based on the demand of book PENALTY FOR STEALING A LIBRARY DOCUMENT Penalty for stealing a library document may be imposed equivalent to Five (5) times the cost of the document. Such acts can lead disqualification of library membership.

  19. LOSS OF BOOK • Loss and damage of books should be reported in writing immediately to the circulation counter. • For a book reported lost, overdue fine ceases on the report date, library member shall have to either replace the same book/ library document or pay double cost of book / library document lost within three days.

  20. RESERVATION OF BOOK • If a book is issued to other user, the reader may place the reservation for that book. After receipt of book, it will be kept reserved for the reader for 24 hours only.

  21. NO DUES CERTIFICATE • ‘No Dues Certificate’ shall be issued to the members after submitting Library Membership Card/ Identity Card, books, fine and other documents standing against their names.

  22. GENERAL RULES • Users are reminded that the Library is designed for serious study and research. Conversations or cross talks are to be avoided to maintain sanctity of the library. • Marking or writing on books, folding pages will be taken as damage to the book and will be dealt with accordingly. • Newspapers and Periodicals are to be used within the area in which they are housed.

  23. Consumption of food, beverages and other non-prohibited usages are not allowed inside the Library. • Keep your mobile on silent mode in the Library. • Library computer’s can not be put to personal use or sending e-mail etc. Use them only for OPAC and database searches. • While leaving the Library please collect all your belongings from the property counter.
