Please don t mutilate books
Please don’t mutilate books

Some books can never be replaced… like this Vanderbilt yearbook. Use a photo-copier instead.

Please
PLEASE:

  • Don’t use sticky notes on library materials

  • Don’t highlight or underline text

  • Don’t read in the bathtub!

  • Don’t use a bacon slice to mark your place in a book

  • Don’t use a book for an umbrella, or end table, or foot rest, or…

If an item does get wet or damaged
If an item does get wet or damaged…

… bring the problem to a library staff member's attention as soon as you can. Sometimes immediate action can save a book.
