TEAM Coalition TEAM Coalition is an alliance of professional and collegiate sports, entertainment facilities, concessionaires, stadium service providers, the beer industry, broadcasters, governmental traffic safety experts, and others working together to promote responsible drinking and positive fan behavior at sports and entertainment facilities.

  5. Mission Statement To provide effective alcohol service training in public assembly facilities and promote responsible alcohol consumption that enhances the entertainment experience while reducing alcohol-related incidents both in facilities and on surrounding roadways.

Designated Driver Program • Register fans of drinking age by pledging not to drink during event, get friends home safely • Usually includes a wrist band to identify as designated driver and a free soft drink • Promotion can also include giveaways to individuals such as a t-shirt or other “trinkets” • Designated driver awards (winner for each race, winner of the season)

Responsibility Has Its Rewards Sweepstakes • Sweepstakes encouraging fans to be designated drivers at professional sports stadiums • MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL currently participating • Over 425,000 fans participating in 2007 • Grand prize winners attend World Series, MLS Cup, NBA Finals, and Super Bowl • Secondary winners attended All-Star Games and Pro Bowl
