  2. How the glaciers affect the western uplands. • The western uplands never got touch by the glaciers. • That why the region has retained it’s rugged landscape. • Farmland is prevalent in the western uplands anywhere the slope of land is gradual enough to permit it.

  3. What physical features make your region different from others • The western uplands were never touched by the glaciers. • The rivers carved deep gorges. • They also have rugged ridges and valleys.

  4. What are some major rivers, lakes, and cities? • Two major cities in Wisconsin are La Crosse, and Beloit. • A couple of major rivers are the Mississippi River and the Wisconsin River. • Here are a couple major lakes lake Onalaska and McCartney lake.

  5. How the land in your region used today. • In the western part of Wisconsin ,the glaciers did not touch this area. • In this part there is snow and farm land. • In this part they used it for winter activities.
