  1. Un Presentation Aditya Singh 6C HWO Researcher

  2. ARGENTINA • Two main health hazards which are affecting the citizens: • Smoking • Obesity

  3. Countries being compared with! Brazil Chile Paraguay

  4. amount of smokers in each country

  5. The graph shows that Argentina has the highest percentage of male smokers at 46.8%.Argentina is almost double of what Paraguay is. Paraguay is with 24.1% male smokers.

  6. Argentina also tops in female smokers at 34%. Paraguay again being the least at 5.5%. Argentina is almost 6 times more than Paraguay.

  7. Obesity Levels Incidentally, as shown in this graph most overweight/obese males and females are from Argentina. Near 42% of Argentineans are obese. Paraguay once again is at the bottom of the list in terms of obesity.

  8. Countries This Graph shows that Argentina has the highest amount of people above the ages of 65. This also shows that

  9. Argentina ,in comparison to all neighboring countries is more developed with more educated persons at 98%. People live a higher quality of life and earn better. Argentina has had a continuous spell of strong growth that has lowered poverty and unemployment rates substantially. Yet on the Life expectancy front , Being at 75 Years , they fall short of Chile ( 77 years) and Paraguay (76 years). In my view higher awareness amongst population of the ill effects of use of Tobacco would go a long way to better health related problems .

  10. With the UN Money, I think we can…. • Run awareness programs about the hazards of smoking and obesity. • Build more Healthcare centers so that they are easily accessible to everyone. • Install latest healthcare equipment around Argentina to better help detect the illness before it is too late.
