  16. What? • network of current faculty members and alumni • founded: Spring ‘16 • welcomes both women and men • about thirty members • different kinds of events • inspired by Lean In circles, founded by Sheryl Sandberg

Why? • many women and men encounter certain gender specific difficulties during their careers; • to create a community in which women and men can share experiences, think about possible solutions and help each other to overcome these difficulties • e.g.: lower participation of women in panel discussions and conferences, gender bias, likeability penalty • creating awareness as one of the solutions to these issues and make equal opportunities possible for all genders
