  1. SELF-Reliance By :NigelOnwularu

  2. Transcendentalism Any philosophy based upon the doctrine that the principles of reality are to be discovered by the study of the processes of thought, or a philosophy emphasizing the intuitive and spiritual above the empirical…

  3. Self Reliance Of which aspect, I have none… I should, I know I should, but I don’t, I do however, know what makes me unique, and I get judged a lot for it, so I defend myself however I can, be it with words, fists, shanks, mustard gas, or my cannon… The act of depending on oneself and/or one’s own power resources, etc.

  4. Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)“Only the great generalizationssurvive” How this statement pertains to me: Alan Moore stated much later but in much the same way, that you can kill people, but you can’t kill an idea, in my own opinion the idea of revolution is a great generalization and I dress the part, also, in case you didn’t notice…

  5. Sarah “Margaret Fuller” Ossoli (1810-1850)“I accept the universe…” How this statement pertains to me: More often than not, things aren’t going to go your way… There are two things that can be done about this: Forget about it and move on with life, if you can’t help the matter, or forget about it and move on with life because you can’t help the matter…

  6. Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)“Moose… Indian” How this statement pertains to me: These words were the last words spoken by Mr. Thoreau… He was more than likely under the influence of a natural drug called endorphins, which is what I’m usually under when I make my bold and/or outlandish statements…

  7. Walt Whitman (1819-1892)“I think of few heroic actions, which cannot be traced to the artistical impulse…” How this statement pertains to me: Everything I tend to do is based around some concept, be it one of revolution or one of an obscure artist or author of whom you’ve never heard…

  8. “The Modern Transcendentalists” This section is of a different period in time about significant figures who evoked the teachings of the Transcendentalist… They are the members of the Beat Generation, the “Modern Transcendentalists…”

  9. William S. Burroughs (1914-1997)“A paranoid man is a man who knows a little about what's going on.” How this statement pertains to me: This can only pertain to me because I have paranoia… I have no idea what’s going on most of the time… I consider it one of my better qualities…

  10. Jack Kerouac (1922-1969)“All of life is a foreign country” How this statement pertains to me: I like this statement cos it mentions foreign countries, which are amongst my favourite things…

  11. Hunter S. Thompson (1937-2005)“It’s only wrong when it stops being fun…” How this statement pertains to me: I like having fun because rarely does the opportunity for me to have fun arise… If I could have fun everyday, it would grow mundane, and that would be just wrong…

  12. “Knowledgespeaks,butwisdomlistens…”-JimiHendrix Thisstatementreiteratestheideathatrationalthinking isn’t the samethingasintuition, becauseknowledgeisexperience or education, andwisdomisknowingwhatistrueorrightcoupledwithjustjudgmentastoaction…Inthiscase, rational thinking is knowledge and free thought is wisdom…

  13. And in Nigeria, it isn’t your right to remain silent, cos if you do, they beat the answers out of you…” –My Father My Daddy’s country is, in fact, a democracy, like America, but if the police want answers you aren’t willing to give, you get the fluff knock out of you. This also went for famous people who stuck up for the little guy…

  14. Fela Anikulapo Kuti (1938-1997) A legendary Nigerian musician who came from a prominent family, Fela was one of those famous Nigerians who stuck up for the little guy who got the fluff knocked out of him for it… Despite being thrown in jail like, EVERY WEEK, he only used these opportunities to make more albums denouncing the corruption that every country has, and got the fluff beat out of him for it again, over and over… Despite this, he died not from police brutality, but due to Kaposi's sarcoma, brought on by AIDS, which he contacted from one of his 27 wives… (Yeah, in Nigeria it’s legal…)

  15. QUESTIONS (Any at all? Meh, I doubt it…)

  16. THE END… That’s Jim Morrison… He has nothing to do with Transcendentalism, or my aspect of self reliance, but was the singer for the Doors, who did a song called The End… Yeah, it’s over… Applaud or boo if you wish, it doesn’t matter, cos I have my grade… 
