  3. Warm Up Think about a time when you have flown a kite or seen someone else fly a kite. • What made the kite fly? • Write your own definition of wind.

  4. Today’s Activities • Review warm up • Review the “Land and Water” lab • CyberEd: “Weather and Atmospheric Processes” – review of convection currents • Read and observe animation of land & sea breezes (Slide 5) • Complete the Land and Sea Breezes WS • CyberEd review to reinforce the lesson

Activities • View Animation: Land and Sea Breezes ES1903 • Land & Sea Breezes Worksheet-Teacher guided • Draw in the direction of air flow • Label the land & sea breeze • Indicate the areas of high and low pressure • Think about: • Why do clouds form over land during the day? • Why do the clouds disappear at night? • Why does the ocean temperature remain constant?
