  2. Context Canning Town & Customs house in top 5 most deprived • Poor health 17% limiting long term illness • Low educational attainment 49% no formal qualifications • Poverty 17.5% income support claimants Isolated and fragmented through road & rail infrastructure

  3. Up to 10,000 residential Distinct neighbourhoods, mix of property types • Major transport hub A13/A124/A1011, Jubilee, DLR, Crossrail • Town centre renewal shopping, leisure and services • New public squares, public parks & semi-public space

  4. Key achievements • Funding secured for Rathbone market mixed use • Area 3 residential renewal • Development partner panel in place • A13 interchange improvements • Strong resident charter & communications • Key Challenges • Anchoring the hub • Connecting the ‘dots’ • Maintaining the offer
