Organized a grape boycot to help fight for better rights for migrant farmers • American Indian Movement – a militant organization formed in 1968 to work for Native American rights • Feminism – The belief that women should have full economic, political and social equality with men • Equal Rights Amendment – REA – a proposed amendment that would have prohibited discrimination on the basis of gender – It failed • Counter Culture – the culture of young people who rejected maintream American society in the 1960s. They sought to create an alternative society based on peace, love and freedoms
