Students from over 30 different Grade 8 Schools Located close to downtown Kitchener, on LRT

Overview • Program began as a celebration of our cultural diversity • International Baccalaureate Diploma is an internationally recognized credential of academic excellence • Options available: Full Diploma or Individual Certificates, depending on student’s academic strengths and choices • You will graduate with 2 Diplomas: Ontario and IB

  4. Program Focus • Enriched learning environment: “like-minded students” • Differentiated from a regular high school program • Flexible pace of learning • International perspective • Program extension activities beyond the classroom such as field trips, workshops, and conferences

  5. Program Structure • Grades 9 and 10: Baccalaureate Studies Program (Pre-IB) • Congregated classes in 5 of 8 courses • Grades 11 and 12 Diploma Program: • IB Diploma Program: 6 IB Courses + Core (EE-TOK-CAS) • IB Certificate Program: 2-5 IB Courses

Program Elements Subjects that you may study for the FULL DIPLOMA: • Group 1: English • Group 2: French or Spanish • Group 3: History or Psychology • Group 4: Biology or Chemistry • Group 5: Mathematics • Group 6: Art, Business, Music, Physics, Chemistry • +Theory of Knowledge • +Extended Essay • +Service Learning and Involvement (CAS)

Program Elements IB Certificate Program--Earn 2 to 5 IB certificates by studying individual subject areas in any combination, depending on your interests: The Arts: English, History, French or Spanish, Art, Music Business: English, History, French or Spanish, Business Management, Math STEM: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, Psychology
