  21. WATER infrastructureDATABASE Extension(WATERiDEx) To permit wastewater and drinking water utilities to easily share their experiences and lessons learned regarding above-ground water infrastructure assets, we are proposing the expansion of existing WATERiD knowledge database. The expanded national database will be called Water infrastructure Database Extension (WATERiDEx). WATERiDExis envisioned to be “a Living Knowledge Database for above-ground assets” addressing condition assessment, renewal engineering, performance, and cost related to wastewater and drinking water treatment facilities.

  22. WATER infrastructureDATABASE PLUS (WATERiD+) To truly implement advanced asset management, a dramatic evolution of the water industry as a whole is required. A centralized database to house the homogenous, time dependent data from different sources is crucial in enabling local, state, and federal governments to employ the advanced infrastructure asset management strategies. WATERiD+ is envisioned to be “a Living Database Platform for Advanced Water Infrastructure Asset Management” addressing all three major management levels including strategic, tactical, and operational that will assist utilities of all sizes to sustain targeted level of service
