Understanding God’s Call • Starting point of mission & leadership engagement (e.g. Jesus in Luke 4:18) • Key to how you deal with leadership challenges along the way • Brings a sense of stewardship with what has been entrusted to us “Where the purpose of something is not known, abuse is inevitable”

  10. 1.3. Competence • Having basic leadership skills • Knowing your responsibility • Understanding pitfalls/traps/failure • Handling tasks “Leadership ability determines a person’s level of effectiveness” (John Maxwell)

  11. 2. Staying Focused • On your spiritual journey with the Lord • On your area of responsibility • On what is really important • On reaching out to God’s people • On being a blessing
